Earlier this month, Beyoncé filed a lawsuit in a US tax court, challenging almost $2.7 million in taxes and penalties.
The document asks the court to reconsider the additional taxes and penalties imposed by the IRS in the notice of deficiencies issued on January 18, 2023.
It also shows that it owes $1,442,747 in additional taxes and $288,549.40 in penalties for 2019. Interest is also due on these amounts.

However, Beyoncé denies in her motion that the penalties shouldn't apply because she "acted reasonably and in good faith" when the taxes are due.
Beyoncé submitted as the only contributor and her husband JAY-Z is not included in this submission.
