According to CNN, Chappelle has included transgender material in his stand-up comedy shows since 2017.
Jokes about transgender people were included in his Netflix specials Sticks and Stones and The Closer in 2019, since 2021 Netflix has supported Specials and Chappelles.
The comedy show Chappelle aired on Comedy Central for three seasons from 2003 to 2006.
