The Philadelphia 76ers are in New York on Thursday night and meet the Brooklyn Nets in Game 3 of the first round of the playoffs at the Barclays Center.
During the All-Star Game, Joel Embiid got injured and went to the locker room. The former Kansas star was arguably the best player in the league this season with a
sensational 33.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game in 66 games, shooting 54.8% from the field.
He will have a great shot at the 2023 MVP award and helped lead the 76ers to third place in the Eastern Conference with a 54-28 record.
The team lost to the Miami Heat in the second round of the playoffs last year, but they have a very talented roster that will give them a chance to go deep.
The 76ers currently have a 2-0 lead over the Nets, so a win on Thursday night would give them a comfortable 3-0 lead and a chance to win Game 4.
The winner of the series meets either the Atlanta Hawks or the Boston Celtics in the second round.
