Karim Benzema scored a first-half hat-trick as Real Madrid struck back after a disappointing midweek defeat at Girona to beat a struggling Almería 4-2  in La Liga on Saturday.

With six games to go, second-placed Madrid kept their title hopes low as they climbed to 68 points and cut Barcelona's lead to eight. Barcelona host  Real Betis for the sixth time on Saturday.

"The team is very dangerous in attack, with the quality of Karim, Vini [Vinicius Junior], Rodrygo, we were good with the ball," said Ancelotti.

“We do well in some games  and things are going very well offensively."

On Real's highest number of goals conceded, Ancelotti added: “I'm not worried about that. I know what this team can do in defense. After conceding six goals, we conceded six goals in two games.

.” We're very focused on defense because I know the attacking aspect is good, after we lost the ball we played very well, we won 3-0 and then we lost focus and they did score,

then we made it 4-1 and they scored. It's a little wake-up call, okay? We conceded two goals, but that won't happen again in the next few games.

Benzema opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a close shot from a Vinicius cross and  12 minutes later extended Real Madrid's lead

with a brilliant individual play from Rodrygo, who dribbled past opponents before passing striker French.

With his second goal, the 35-year-old overtook Mexican legend Hugo Sanchez
